Responsible Cashmere Manufacturing: WFS Cashmere's Compliance Framework

As international retail standards tighten and brand accountability for supply chain practices deepens, the question facing cashmere buyers is no longer whether compliance matters — it's whether their suppliers can document it.

WFS Cashmere operates with a full complement of internationally recognized certifications that address the three primary dimensions of supply chain accountability: chemical safety, labor standards, and quality management.

Chemical Safety: OEKO-TEX Standard 100

WFS Cashmere's finished garments are certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 — the globally recognized certification confirming that a textile product has been tested for and is free from harmful substances. This certification covers every component of the finished garment, including dyes, auxiliaries, and accessory materials.

For brands selling into the EU or UK, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is increasingly a baseline requirement from major retail partners. WFS holds a current, valid certification available for review by brand partners and buyers.

Labor Standards: BSCI and SEDEX (SMETA)

WFS Cashmere is audited under both the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) framework and the SEDEX Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) standard. These audits evaluate working conditions, labor rights, health and safety practices, and management systems within the production facility.

For brand partners required to submit supply chain documentation to retail customers — a standard requirement in European and UK multi-brand retail — WFS's BSCI and SEDEX reports are available upon request.

Ethical Manufacturing: WRAP Certification

WFS holds WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) certification, which confirms compliance with 12 principles of ethical manufacturing including legal compliance, prohibition of forced and child labor, and worker treatment standards.

Quality Management: ISO 9001

WFS's production and quality management processes are certified to ISO 9001 — the international standard for quality management systems. This certification documents the company's systematic approach to production consistency, inspection procedures, and continuous improvement processes.
